    Position Summary

    As a fireplace installer for Gagnon Clay Products you will become part of a 100-year-old family business that prides itself on its exceptional customer service and thorough product and service offerings. You will work closely with your fellow installers and job manager(s) (Gagnon salesperson and local builders) to safely install and service gas, wood, and electric fireplaces.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Safe installation wood, gas, and electric fireplaces, stoves and inserts in new construction and existing homes.
    • Learn and abide by all safety and industry guidelines.
    • Complete job specific paperwork completely and accurately.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of hearth products and the installation process.
    • Diagnose and service fireplaces of all types and brands.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and installation manuals.
    • Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
    • Must be able to meet attendance requirements.

    Qualifications

    No experience installing fireplaces required, new employees will work with an experienced installer and learn on the job. However, candidates must have experience working with hand and power tools and experience in the construction industry is preferred. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, be able to occasionally lift 100+ lbs. and be able to work at elevated heights comfortably.     Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Constantly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • Constantly lift and/or move up to 25 – 50 pounds.
    • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 – 75 pounds.
    • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 – 300 pounds.
    • Frequently works in outside weather conditions.
    • Must be okay with working on roofs.

    Hours

    PEAK SEASON (October – February)

      • 5-day workweek Monday- Friday 7:00am – 5:00pm (dependent on job completion). Overtime is almost always available!

    OFF SEASON (March – September)

      • 4-day workweek (Monday – Thursday or Tuesday – Friday).

    Salary

    $20.00 – $29.00 per hour (based on experience)

    Position Summary

You will work closely with your fellow staff and job manager(s) to help organize and perform duties in the warehouse department.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Load/unload and Processing incoming stock and returned material.
    • Deliver small orders to job sites and perform pickups with a company flatbed pickup truck.
    • Operate forklift for material handling (prior forklift experience preferred but not needed)
    • Keep warehouse areas maintained including sweeping, picking up garbage, organizing product, and occasionally mowing the lawn areas.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and picking tickets and packing slips.
    • Learn and abide by all safety and industry guidelines.
    • Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
    • Must be able to meet attendance requirements.
    • Partake in apprenticeship training for fireplace installation and service

    Qualifications

    No experience required, new employees will be trained by our existing warehouse and fireplace install managers. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, be able to occasionally lift 100+ lbs.     • Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm

    Salary

    $18.00 to $23.00 / hour

     

    Experience

    • Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Sell our product offerings and services to consumers.
    • Help customers make selections in showroom
    • Demonstrate products and show consumers how to maximize their features.
    • Explain different customizable features.
    • Discuss warranties and replacement parts.
    • Learn basic fireplace and masonry installation techniques and be able to successfully communicate them to customers
    • Process orders in person, over the phone, and via e-mail.
    • Check inventory to ensure product is in stock.
    • Collect and research information needed to identify and resolve problematic situations.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Potential candidates must have prior sales experience, proficient computer skills, and excelled customer service skills. Team player is a must with the willingness to help out as needed!

    Hours 

    • Monday-Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
    • Every other Saturday: 7:30am-Noon

    Salary

    • Base Salary starting at $37,500 per year
    • Commissions are in addition to base salary
    • Commissions can be earned immediately
    • No cap on commissions
